A soothing slow flow expresses the quads, hip flexors, hamstrings, and side body to create space in the body; this class progresses to bow pose (dhanurasana) and headstand (sirsasana) as the peak postures.
You'll move through sun salutations and stay low to the ground as you move through lunges, variations of half moon pose, locust, balancing table top, half splits, and revolved thigh strength. Heart opening and inversions complete your practice with a bow pose, supported bridge, shoulder stand, and headstand.
A grounding meditation open and close the practice for you to drop into your body through breath and contemplate what you are here to learn and offer to the world.
Quote read during class:
βOur understanding and practice of dharma changes throughout life and involves a continuous commitment to self-discovery. Dharma encompasses not only our responsibilities to our families and society, but also the inner lessons weβve come to learn and the qualities we are here to embody. It is our offering of self to the world that no other person can express in quite the same way.β - Nataraja Kallio
